OK to Have Surgery While Menstruating?

Tummy Tuck and Breast Aug: I have my surgery tomorrow morning. I have had a c-section and was told that that pain is WAY worse. Is that true? Also I am on my period, the office told me that it was ok. Any concerns on that?

A: Menstrual cycle and tummy tuck surgery

There is no reason you can't have surgery based on your menstrual cycle.  You should be prepared for some downtime with respect to the tummy tuck portion.  Whether it is worse than a C-section...  It will depend.  With a C-section you will be cutting deeper through the abdominal wall and uterus.  With a tummy tuck, the dissection is more extensive and superficial.  Either surgery takes time to recover.  I would consider using a pain pump to help manage post-op pain.  Good luck.

What Are Your Recommendations For Me For a Mommy Makeover? (photo)

I am looking to find a reliable affordable plastic surgeon to help me achieve my dream of tummy tuck surgery.... I am sure that i will need a tummy tuck and muscle repair (is that included in the surgery) and have been wondering if lipo on the inner thigh is enough or if a mini inner thigh lift will be REQUIRED (prefer to have least amount of surgery as possible) and full body contouring lipo with only a small amount of fat removed from most areas. below is what i am now

A: Mommy Makeover Evaluation

Based on your photograph, I am unable to assess your inner thighs or areas other than your abdomen.    Based on your abdominal photo, you would be an excellent candidate for full tummy tuck with muscle plication and flank liposuction.   This should give you a wonderful result.    In regards to the rest of your questions, I would recommend consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to assess your problems areas and discuss treatment options.
