He completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at Northwestern University Medical School. Subsequently, he was singled out by the American Cancer Society to participate in a Fellowship study of surgical treatments and reconstruction of the head and neck.
A second Fellowship in facial plastic surgery with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
