Difference Between Cheek Lift and Mid Face Lift

What is the difference between a "cheek lift" and a "mid face lift".

A: Midface Lift vs. Cheek Lift

These two terms are often used interchangeably. The procedure consists of lifting the cheek region (the middle third of the face) back up to a more youthful position. The actual technique used to do this can vary widely by surgeon. Although the procedure refers to the cheek/midface, this procedure usually has a dramatic effect on the appearance of the lower eyelids. As the cheek region descends with age, the bony rim of the lower eye socket becomes more prominent leading to a hollowed-out look of the eyes. The midface lift can address this problem effectively

Hope this helps!

Cheek Implants or Cheek Lift For Facelift?

It doesn't seem like there is much of a differnce in "general" regarding cheek implants and a cheek lift (mid face lift). I am wondering would BOTH be necessary OR just ONE or the OTHER? Please help, I cannot get my thoughts around it??

A: cheeck lift or implants

Very good question. To simplify, if you have volume that has descended then a cheek lift will do. If you never had volume in that area an implant may be necessary.

I'm 23 Years Old and my Face Sags. Would a Mid-Facelift Help?

I'm 23 years old and my face sags especially around the mouth. I'm not over weight, I stay out of the sun and live a healthy life style so I'm not sure why my face is like this. I've been to a dermatologist and while they haven't ran any tests they say "its just genetics". I'm curious if It looks like I would benefit from a lift and/or lipo and fat grafting or somthing? Thank you in advance!

A: Too young for facelift...

I concur with my colleagues. I would not recommend surgical facial rejuvenation.  Rather, perhaps nonsurgical options such as fillers will allow you to reach your goals.
