I have waited years to have this procedure and now Aetna is giving me issues with the volume they want my Dr. To take out. I was 40DDD and have suffered frin chronic headaches for many years. I have recently lost 34lbs and now down to 36 DD. Shoulder pain a little better, still suffering from stiff neck, psture and chronic headaches! I'm 5'1 159 lbs.
Is there any hope for me that Aetna will... more
I had large breast most of my life (D Cup at age 13).
Before my 75 lb. weight loss my breast filled over filled an F cup, after weight loss they were very elongated and heavy and still filled a DD. 10 weeks ago Dr. LoMonaco performed a breast lift/reduction on me. There was very little pain after surgery and the results are amazing. Dr. LoMonaco gave me the perfect Full C I had always... more
Currently, I wear a 44H bra; however, Dr. said I was much larger than that. I forgot what he quoted me and will update when I ask him tomorrow. He will be completing pre-op markings tomorrow and I go in for surgery first thing Wednesday morning.
My goal is to get enough weight off my chest so that I can exercise and walk comfortably without back and shoulder aches. My PS is awesome, he... more
I have been heavy chested since day one. It honestly seemed like I went to sleep one night with mosquito bites and woke up the next morning looking like a 10 year old black Anna Nicole Smith. Literally from flat to DDs in four months... all while trying to learn my times tables. Since then, I have yearned, hoped, wished and prayed for a reduction. I even asked for a reduction for Christmas... more
Although always self-conscious, my breast "issues" got much worse a few years ago, whenI developed a rare endocrine tumor that caused a 70 lbs weight gain. I was a 44DDD. The tumor is gone and so is the excess weight, but, I only lost a few inches in the bust. At 5'6 and 130 lbs., I am currently a 34F and cannot find clothes that fit. If insurance will cover, I will get surgery and hope to be... more
I love this website...it is answering so many things that is pondering in my heart. I tend to be a joyous person but there is this lingering that I can't shake. I feel slightly ashamed because I couldn't "lose the weight" as a doctor told me when I went eight years ago just to ask about breast reduction. I am around 196 and a VERY VERY VERY active person. At this time, I am fine with my... more
I decided I needed to get my breast reduce after weeks of research and looking at videos I finally made an appointment. I'm a 38DDD, I'm 5'8 and 188lbs. My right breast is bigger than the left. I had my consultation on 6/4/2014 and Dr. Dora said, I was a great candidate for a breast reduction with a left. They size he suggest is a full C. I have Anetha Life insurance. Dr. Dora said,... more
I have had big breast almost my entire life and at 39 yrs old my body just couldn't take the weight anymore. I attempted to get relief thru physical therapy and muscle relaxers but neither really worked. I went to see a PS who submitted info to the insurance company and I was approved. I had my surgery on 5/21/2014 . Didn't have a lot of pain and absolutely no drainage which I thought was... more
I went for a consultation last week with a PS. He was professional, friendly, and spent a lot of time answering my questions. The receptionist told me it would take 2 weeks to a month to hear back from my insurance about approval. Just 3 days later she called to tell me that the surgery was approved by insurance. I am still going to check out other doctors before scheduling the surgery. I am... more
I made the decision to do this after buying $75 minimizing bras for years as a 19-23 year old when I wanted to be wearing cute things and going bra less. I was 5'8" and 135 lb with very droopy DD breasts. After jumping through multiple hoops, insurance agreed to pay for the procedure. It was relatively high risk because I have a blood clotting disorder, but I was monitored for 2 days in the... more
I am to the point I can't take the pain anymore!! I need a breast reduction SO BADLY. I have always had big breasts, always. All 4 of my aunties have/had over excessive breasts, and both my sisters have had breast reductions. I am hurting; my back, shoulders, neck, arms. I don't like my breasts to 'sag' so keeping them lifted up is WORK!
I went to the Dr. Friday and I didn't... more
I'm 40 years old, single and no kids. I have been wanting to have a breast reduction done for years but I was advised to wait until I have kids, but that never happened! So, I finally got tired of waiting and enduring the back and neck pains, looking disproportioned, tired of clothes not fitting properly!! So I finally had it done on jan 30th, 2014, and thank God. I was about at 40DDD and... more
You've read the same story (different woman) over and over again on RealSelf...but truth is, no matter how many reviews you've read and photos you have studied...you still found courage, strength and confidence in the testimonies of each one of them.
I'm no different from you but yet I hope that my journal of this experience will give back to someone the same gift that the testimonies of... more

41 years old and after 2 kids and the weight gains and losses that accompany pregnancy, my chest was a 36DD and sagging so far down that a proper support bra was so uncomfortable and causing a great deal of pain! I finally decided, it was time to do something for me! I research plastic surgeons in the Houston area and I only wanted to see the BEST! I have never had surgery before and wanted... more
Yahoo! Got my insurance approval today! My story begins like so many I've read, big boobs since before I care to remember. They just keep getting bigger too. I'm currently wearing a 34G/H on a 135lbs 5'4" frame, and will post pictures later on in the process. Just not ready to face the nude pics yet. I like to live in denial about how big the girls are but the numbers don't lie.
I really... more
My surgery date is approaching closer and closer and I started this feed to get any input to make this an easy transition. I am going from a 36 II to hopefully a 36 D or DD still unsure. I have chosen Dr. Horndeski after extensive research and am looking for any input! I have had large busts since the 8th grade and am ready for them to go. I am 20 years old currently.

Have an appt with the PS on the 23rd. Really hoping my ins (Aetna) will cover some. Anyone have any problems with the ins approval?
I've had large breasts since I was about 12 years old & I've always hated them. It's hard to work out or do anything. Lots of pain in my neck & shoulders. Just hoping for an approval! more
I have been big breasted since I was about 23. In the past 15 or so years it has gotten unbearable. Sleeping, eating, breathing, exercising, cleaning the house, you name it, everything has its limitations. I am currently bulging out of a 44H on my right and on my left not quite filling it out. That is uncomfortable all on its own.
My surgery date is october 29th 2013, I am excited... more
I just got my pre-approval letter in the mail; now waiting for my PS to get the letter so they can schedule my surgery. I am so excited and nervous at the same time! Ready for what the rest of my life will be like without back pain walking in the mall, while doing my hair, or sitting in a backless chair! Ready for strapless sun dresses, looking normal in clothes and necklaces, ready to... more
