I Am a Darked Skinned Person Thinking of Using a 25% Tca for Scars on my Back. is this strength too weak? too strong? should I be doing any thing before I use this? what should I put on after ward? some people have suguested savlon?
As said earlier, do not treat yourself. 25% TCA on the back of a dark skinned person is a recipe for disaster. Go see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon and have it done correctly.
Its been exactly a week now, I dont know what to do or if it will go away, it looks as if Ive been burned in a fire. does anybody know how long it will take to heal? I also did 12% on my face and nothing happened I want to go stronger but if thats what it does to my chest Im a bit afraid. how long do I have to wait before I do another peel on my face (if any)
While chemical peels seem easy, it probably was not the best idea to try to treat yourself. You did not specify what agent that you used. I would hope that you did not use 50% TCA on your chest. The chest is a very risky area to peel in the first place. It does not heal as well as other areas. I would go see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon asap so that you can get advice on how to prevent scarring and such.
I had a partial face lift (chin), fat injections and a TCA peel of entire face, 4 days ago. The skin is off my face already(I did not pick it,it came off)and very red. The doctor told me I could use Aquafore, which I have used each day.He told me to wash my face normally after 24 hours, with whatever facial cleanser I usually use, which I have ( a mild L'Oreal face wash)and then to either reapply the Aquafore, or leave dry. I have used the Aquafore. What else can I do? Doctor is on vacation!
Keep on applying the Aquaphor multiple times a day. Depending on the strength of your TCA peel, it is very normal (and expected) to have red, peely skin after a chemical peel. With time you will get better.
