I'm hearing on here that 200 unit vials of BotoX is not available. However, my insurance sent it to me with an RX from PCP for a sweating problem, to be aDminstered in my surgeons office (of which I have not picked yet). Aetna Speciality Pharmacy is the Phrm. That sent it. Vial iS stamped Allergan. I doubt that and ins. Comp. Pharm. Would sent it to me IF "200 unit vial is not avail? Very confused
See the following website at the bottom of this message.
It looks as if Allergan is marketing a 200 Unit bottle from the medical side of Botox (i.e. migraines, cervical dystonia, etc.) Botox cosmetic is still sold under the 100 Unit bottle. They are the exact same thing.
Once hydrated, how long is 200 unit/10ml saline good for kept cold?
According to the package insert, only 4 hours.....realistically, it can last much longer. It partially depends on what you use to reconstitute Botox. If you use bacteriostatic saline, some studies have suggested a shelf life of 6 weeks. Personally, I never use something that old for fears of contamination, but some people do.
More importantly, why are you asking this? Let your doctor who is injecting it decide when it is no longer appropriate to use the product.
I am currently doing allergy shots for trees, cats, dogs, grass, molds, roaches. With doing that and since I am on my maintance I have noticed I have started to become allergic to different things such as foods. So I was wondering if I could still do Botox with all these allergies?
I know of no interactions between allergy shots and Botox. Allergies to Botox itself are extremely rare. If you are concerned, talk to you doctor prior to getting the Botox.
