Five Days Smoke Free Before Body Lift?

I am having torsoplasty (body lift) in five days and just stopped smoking today. Will five days smoke-free prior to surgery aid in my recovery as long as I continue not to smoke afterwards?

A: Must stop three weks before

I reccommend patients stop smoking at least three weeks before and three weeks after.  This includes no nicotine patches.  You are at greater risk for wound complications with five days of smoking cessation.  Does your surgeon know?

After Losing 36 Kg is a Full Body Lift a Better Option

i have had tummy tuck and thigh lift and while i'm happy with tummy tuck its bulging a little and thigh lift there is loose skin at top of thigh which surgeon explained would have caused complications to fix but i wonder if in hindsight a full body lift would have been better. he didn't look at overall picture when i first saw him he just looked at the tummy area and then was surprised after surgery how much he had to remove. then when i consulted about thighs he first suggested lower body lift.

A: Body lift may be better

If you have a lot of lateral and posterior fullness after surgery, you probably could benefit from 360 degree contouring.  It is still possible to perform this procedure as a staged posterior body lift to address the outer thighs and buttocks.

Can You Still Have Plastic Surgery(lower Body Lift) with a Cold?

There are some people that say you can't with a cold and others say if you have your period the doctor will not operate.I am not so sure if these are true or false.

A: Not a good idea

I reccomend my patients not have elective surgery with a cold.  It is best to wait till you are feeling better.
