How long can it take for the bruising from the V Beam laser to totally disappear? It will be deep purple day of procedure, the doctor indicated. Thank you.

Any bruising from a Vbeam treatment will usually resolve in 10 to 14 days, depending on the settings used.

Is Vbeam a Good Laser Treatment for Rosacea?

Has anyone tried vbeam laser for rosacea treatment? Is it effective? How soon? What was healing like? Did you need more than one session?

A: The Vbeam Treats Rosacea

The Vbeam is a laser that effectively treats the redness and prominent blood vessels of the face in patients with rosacea.  Results depend on the settings used, but noticeable improvement is usually seen even after one treatment; however, 4 to 6 treatments may be required for more complete clearance.  Healing is generally easy, but again depends on the settings.  Occasionally swelling, redness or even a bruise could occur.

V Beam Laser Caused an Edema. What Can I Do?

Hello,

Three months ago I had my final candela v beam treatment. After the procedure I was extremely swollen on right side of face. This edema has persisted for 3 months; I have gone for second opinion and the derm told me I could have lymph damage and fluid is stuck there. He recommended gentlwave LED treatment to heal.

Any other suggestions?

A: Swelling after Vbeam treatment

Any swelling after a Vbeam treatment is temporary, and should last only a few days, even with very aggressive settings.  The laser does not penetrate deep into the skin; therefore, it is not possible that it damaged lymphatic vessels.  You should be evaluated for other causes or persistent facial swelling.  Best of luck.
