Why Are Sculptra Inections Spaced 6-8 Weeks Apart?

If it takes sculptra 4-6 months to peak why are injections spaced 6-8 weeks apart, would it not be better to wait 6 months before next injection so not to overfill

A: Sculptra takes time to work

Sculptra, unlike other fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane, produces gradual improvement through the stimulation of collagen production in your skin.  This process takes time and injecting Sculptra every 6-8 weeks allows the physician to see the changes and add more to areas that need it, or less to areas that do not.  Waiting longer will usually not effect the ultimate results.

Can Sculptura Be Injected into the Naso Labial Folds and Will It Help Get Rid of the Lines?

Can Sculptura Be Injected into the Naso Labial Folds and Will It Help Get Rid of the Lines? ive had 2 treatments of sculptra in the cheek area i love it and i want to get a third can it be injected into the folds?

A: Sculptra will improve smile lines

Sculptra can be used to improve smile lines (nasolabial folds) but it is not injected directly into the lines.  It is a voluminizing filler, which means it is injected into areas where one loses volume with age, such as the temples, the cheeks, and the jawline.  Your smile lines have appeared because of loss of bone, fat pads, and soft tissue in those areas.  The smile lines are simply a symptom of the real problem.  After it is injected, Sculptra stimulates your body's own natural collagen production.  As volume is replaced from this new collagen, lines on the face, such as the smile lines, begin to soften and fade.

How Will Having Sculptra Injections in my Checks Change the Shape of my Face over Time?

How gradual will the growth of collagen be after sculptra? When will the effect be at its peak?

A: Sculptra effects

Sculptra improves the appearance of the aging face by causing the patient's skin to make new collagen.  This not only adds volume to areas such as the cheeks, temples and under eyes areas, but can result in a lift in the skin especially in the jowl and nasolabial folds.

New collagen begins growing immediately, but it will take time to start seeing the results.  Typically, patients will start to see results 4-5 months after their last injections, thus it may take 7-8 months to a year for a patient to have noticeable improvement.  One of the beauties of treatment with Sculptra is that when you reach your desired end result the effects are long-lasting, up to 2 years.
