would lipo dissolve get rid of the flap of fat an skin caused by extreme edema during pregnacy,an a c/section at 36yrs old? I had my only baby at 36yrs old. I developed eclampsia in my 7th mth an as a result had 60pds of fluid weight which has left my tummy looking like a 90yr old with saggy, heavy tummy flap then had an emergency c/section which was done w/out any attempt to remove the massive amount of fat an strecthed out skin. I ve been unable to lose, tighten or improve my problem area sence the surgery in 2006.I have a severe multiple back injury an the added stress on my tummy is only making my injuries worse alot faster. What can I do safely?
If you have hanging, loose skin, then a tummy tuck is the right procedure for you. You also likely have muscle weakness from the expansion of your abdominal wall, and that will also be addressed during the tummy tuck. As long as your general health is good, an abdominoplasty procedure is fairly straight forward and can make a drastic change in restoring your pre-pregnancy body. Don't be fooled by the advertising put out by some of the liposuction companies - the minimal amount of skin contracture that occurs with Liposuction is not enough to make a noticeable impact on a stomach that has hanging skin. (And they actually make a tummy tuck procedure more difficult to perform later after you decide that lipo did not deliver the changes as promised. The scar under the skin surface limits the "stretch" of the skin flap.)

Hi,
You sound like a really good candidate for a tummy tuck. Multiple pregnancies and surgery have undoubtedly weakened the muscles of your abdominal wall. Not only does this give an unsightly bulge to the abdomen, but it also can contribute to lower back pain. Tightened the abdominal wall muscles may help improve that pain.
In addition, the major fluctuations in weight you have experienced have probably compromised the elasticity of your abdominal wall skin considerably. Your best bet is to undergo skin and fat excision, which, along with tightening of the abdominal wall muscle, make up a tummy tuck procedure.
Your best bet is evaluation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a comprehensive evaluation. All the best.
I had a face liposuction but I didn't get a leaner face. Will Lipolysis improve my results?
First, mesotherapy / lipolysis is not FDA approved in the United States as it is totally unregulated and has not been shown to work. You are taking too much risk with no reasonable benefit.
Second, I am not a big fan of facial liposuction - minimal contouring might work, but if it is done aggressively, contour irregularities tend to show up. (This is different from neck liposuction, where the results tend to be good.)
In other parts of your body, there are 2 layers of fat under the skin, and liposuction is done in the deep layer. This prevents visible irregularities, as the upper layer of fat helps smooth out any irregularities. On the face, important muscles and nerves are in the deep layer, so liposuction has to be done superficially, and this is the reason that irregularities are more common.
If you really have a full face, you could consider Buccal fat pad excision - this is a discrete collection of fat under the cheek that can be surgically removed to help narrow the face.
