Can Lasers Be Used to Treat Tyndall Effect Under One Eye from Restylane Treatment I Received 4 Months Ago?
Light reflecting off of the injectable product can result in a blue discoloration in some. Superficial injections or areas where there is thin skin can be predisposed to this in some individuals. If superficial, we can use a small needle to help faciliate removal of the product. If a bit deeper it is often easier to inject a product called hyaluronidase to help "dissolve" it. Your doctor should test you for an allergy to this product prior to injecting it in greater quantities.
I see many posts about how fraxel (or other lasers) can help loose skin around the eyes. When I went for my first treatment, they put eye patches over my whole eye, including eyelids. It did improve the rest of my face, but of course not my eyelids or bags. I don't think I'd want the laser any closer?
it is imperative that any treatment involving the eyes utilizes what we call intraocular protection. This involves putting some numbing drops in your eyes and place a very large contact lens to protect it from the laser beam. We use this on all of our eyelid treatments.
I am looking for a way to get rid of acne scars. Heard good things about some laser skin treatments but i don't know how to choose between them all because there are so many laser treatments that are said to work on lots of problems, but i really just want to know which one works the best on acne scars.
There are many different treatments for acne scars and there is not one that works for every patient. The first step is to ensure that any active acne is under control. The next step is to determine the best course or courses of treatment. This may include lasers, dermabrasion, dermaroller, excision, fillers, or other options. Finding a facial plastic surgeon, dermatologic surgeon, or plastic surgeon who offers a variety of treatments is going to be your key. Don't be swayed by advertising pictures which promise miraculous results as most single treatments will get about a 50% improvement (there are some exceptions).
