I am 20 years old and have pale skin with a ton of freckles, I bought a membership of 24 sessions so I could have the ipl done on multiple parts of my body. I did both my arms on Friday. I had gotten a test patch done a week before so I knew how it felt, it was bearable and only burned for an hour or so after it was done. When j went back in for the rest of both my arms the pain was quite a... more
I'm a 56 y/o male who had benign skin cancer removed on my cheek 7 months ago. It resulted in some broken capilaries. I also had a small degree of sun damage. My PS recommended an IPL Photofacial. I had the procedure done on December 30. It was recommended that I forego numbing cream for a better result. I did, and the procedure was so painful I was gripping the side of the bed. I have... more
I've had 6 treatments of IPL with a lot of pain and with no change with the roseacea. We also tried 2 of a stronger laser, but can't remember what it was called. I washed regularly and kept my skin... more

Help, I had an IPL Friday in a dermatologist's office with years of experience. I have type II skin. I now have stripes on my cheek on one side and red/purple under my chin. I saw the Dr today, and was told that I had burns which is very unusual with this IPL and a blonde haired green eyed lady with minimal discomfort during the procedure. I was given Biafine, Protopic, Aquafor, and told... more
