Will fraxel be significantly more expensive than traditional laser treatments? What is the cost difference?
Because Asian patients naturally have more melanin in their skin, one of the main possible side effects with laser treatment is termed post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). In other words, your natural pigmentation is more likely to darken in response to inflammation. Because many of the older, traditional laser systems such as the ablative carbon dioxide laser completely remove the surface layer of skin, PIH occurred more commonly. Now with the development of the fractional systems such as Fraxel, more of the patients own natural skin is preserved reducing the chance of PIH, although it can still occur, but with less frequency.
Pricing will vary depending on the laser procedure, condition, and area(s) to be treated.
I had Fraxel laser treatment two days ago when can I get in my hot tub?
I would not advise getting in a hot tub for at least a week after Fraxel restore/duet treatment. The skin must be completely healed to insure that an infection will not occur.
What is the Difference Between Fraxel Restore and Fraxel Restore Dual?
This system is a part of the Fraxel Restore Laser. The Dual technology allows us to utilize two wavelengths of laser light energy to improve the appearance of the skin. The first wavelength optimizes our ability to improve the appearance of brown discoloration to the skin such as seen with sun freckles, photo damage and Melasma. The second light component goes more deeply into the skin to target skin texture and improve the appearance of fine lines and acne scars.
