Education

Dr. Gilmore received his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his Medical Doctorate degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

Post-medical school training

He completed a surgical internship and an additional year of general surgery residency at Parkland Hospital and Southwestern Medical School affiliated hospitals. He subsequently completed a residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Duke University Medical Center.
