I had Evolence injected in my nasal folds and Perlane in the chin. One week later, I felt the chin was not filled enough so my dermatologist suggested Evolence on top of the Perlane already injected.
About 5 days after the 2nd office visit, I noticed a "lopsided smile" and a swelling of one side of my lower lip. Because of the slight swelling, I am often biting my lip when I eat and this is causing a constant sore inside my lip. I am wondering whether this is because 2 products were used or just the injection technique.
Greetings Maureen,
Sorry to hear you had a poor experience with the facial filler products. Layering the products should not cause the problems that you are describing. They can be layered without a problem in most cases. I would definitely suggest visiting your physician for evaluation and possibly undergo hyaluronidase injections if dissolving the Perlane would help to improve your problem.
I've tried Botox on my forehead and didn't like the results so I thought I'd try a filler and my doctor recommended Evolence to fill the wrinkle between the brow and on my forehead.
Right after the procedure, I had tiny lumps and bumps in some spots where it was injected. They look bad, definitely worse than the wrinkles! Will they go away anytime soon? How long should I wait before calling my doctor? Is there anything a doctor can do to get rid of these lumps and bumps?
Greetings Nicole,
I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Evolence. The product itself is an excellent filler but must be used with some care. I would suggest going back to your physician ASAP to address your concerns. With Evolence, you will feel the filler under the skin for about a month, but if you see it, this is problematic. The key to using Evolence is making sure to massage the Evolence as soon as it is injected to ensure that lumps do not form. Once they are formed and a couple of days have passed, it can be very difficult to smooth them out. They will dissolve on their own but it can take several months. The best option at that point is to use another filler to smooth things out.
I have lumps from Evolence treatment 1 week ago. Will the lumps subside? Is there anything I can do to make them disappear faster? I am disappointed with my results. Any advice you can give me is appreciated.
With Evolence, you will feel the collagen for about a month. This is normal. If you see lumps, this is more of a concern. It is possible that you are experiencing some swelling though most of this should have subsided in a week. There is no way to remove what has been injected so the best treatment is addition of filler to even out the lumps. Be sure to seek out a physician who has experience with correcting these errors has it can even worsen the problem.
