How Do Dysport and Botox Formulas Differ in Their Effectiveness on Deep Forehead Wrinkles?

I'm assuming that botox work better on deep deep forehead wrinkles, is this true? Why?

A: Botox vs Dysport

The neurotoxins can have the same effects (and thus the same side effects) as one another.  I have had some say that Dysport makes their brow feel "heavy," but most do not mind this sensation if they even have it at all.  Both have great clinical effect and will produce the results that you are looking for.  My recommendation is that you see a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive experience in this treatment, though.

If you have deep forehead wrinkles that remain, even when you are not actively moving your forehead, these are called "static" wrinkles.  The ones reduced by Botox and similar products are called "dynamic" wrinkles.  Botox will correct a dynamic wrinkle, but you will get no improvement, at least immediately, of static wrinkles.   If you have serial treatments with neurotoxin, you may see some improvement (albeit incomplete) of the static wrinkles over the months to years.  Laser therapy, chemical peels, or even dermal fillers (i.e. Juvederm, Restylane, etc) may be needed to improve the appearance of static wrinkles, however.

How Effective Are Dysport Injections for Hyperhidrosis?

What problems might arise from dysport injections with hyperhidrosis patients?

A: Dysport and Hyperhidrosis

Dysport injections are effective in decreasing the sweat production of Hyperhidrosis since Dysport has a similar mechanism of action as Botox Cosmetic.  Some potential side effects include bruising, swelling and mild tenderness post injection.  Multiple small injections are made into each axilla (armpit).  The same rare complications that can occur with Botox Cosmetic can also occur with Dysport.
