Am I a Candidate for Ulthera in my Lower Face?

When I look at photos from a year and a half ago, I did not have those tiny little jowls, but I have them now. I would like to know if I look like a candidate for Ulthera for the Jawline. I do have some laxity on my neck, too. Are passes made directly on the throat? (Mine is sensitive.) I do not want to use numbing agents, as I can't stand that strange feeling. Have high tolerance for pain, just don't want to gag. Thanks.

A: Ulthera for early jowls

You would appear to be a very good candidate for ulthera.  I think ulthera works best in people that have relatively good skin elasticity, but are beginning to see signs of aging.

How Can Some Places Charge Up to a Thousand Less for Ulthera Than Others? Is There a Diff

I have seen ulthera for so much more (4000) in VA than in FLA or even Beverly Hills -- it costs like 2500 there -- all for the same thing!! How can this be? Please explain. I could easily drive or fly to get this done as I have time off, so I will -- as long as I am getting the same thing, which is what is seems like. (I found the docs all on this and other reputable sites.)

A: ulthera costs - compare apples to apples

The cost to the practice depends on the number of pulses that are used.  Practices pass these costs on to the patient.  When comparing prices, make sure that you are comparing the same procedure.  Ulthera typically comes as 1) full-face, 2) upper face and 3) lower face/neck.  Full face is most expensive because it requires the most pulses and the most time to administer.  Upper face is cheapest because it requires the least pulses.  It typically costs less than 50% of full face.

The costs of the same treatment (eg full-face) will also differ by zipcode because there are differences in the costs of overhead and the amount of competition.

Does the Individual Clinic/office Determine Costs, or is That Set by the Ultherapy Company

If the promised results were not seen after 6 months who would be responsible for determining if another treatment could be done on me for reduced costs, the office I went to or the Ulthera Company?

A: Second ulthera treatment may be discounted

In our office, the second ulthera treatment is offered at a discount, if done within 6 months.  If the patient decides to undertake a more invasive procedure (eg laserlipo of neck or face/necklift), we will credit a portion of the original ulthera cost to the second procedure.
