My family has pretty big noses, but the difference is for them, it works with there facial features. I'm 17 and my nose isn't bumpy, it's straight. The problem is it's very WIDE at the bottom and I don't think it goes with my features. My lips are small, my eyes are small, and im not a large kid. I don't understand why my nose is so unproportional. I want to be a actor someday and I don't think ill get to if my nose looks so bad. I feel if my nose was smaller i'd look good. Help? :(
in my opinion if one is 17 years old it is likely that he will not see see any significant differential growth between the other facial features and the nose.
I know it seems like a silly question but its really not. Take for example my hair stylist. I've found she does a much better job if I'm her very first client of the day. Verses being the last when she;s worked all day and tired. I know a stylist goes through a lot more clients in a day then a surgeon, so their not comparable. But i'm still wondering if it makes a difference? I've researched my surgeon and am confident in him but i'm still looking for the best possible results, as is anyone!!
In my opinion a rhinoplasty should be treated as a complex precision oriented sugery. Good rhinoplasty requires a significant degree of attention to detail and focus. If your surgeon beleives he/she can do a good job as the first or last case that sounds reasonable. Perhaps you coudl ask your surgeon when he/she would schedule a family member or friend.
I had rhinoplasty exactly 2 wks ago. My doc put tape across my nose after removing the splint, which I removed a few days ago. My nose has since become super broken out and I have red splotches across it. It looks like it is red and swollen like crazy. I put on some acne treatment but am worried that this persistent redness will cause broken capillaries & swelling. Should I be applying cold compresses to reduce the redness/swelling? What should I do? I'm scared it'll cause permanent damage
It is likely that your skin is reacting to being cover with tape for so long. Warm and cold (alternating ) compresses may help as well as careful cleaning. This will not affect your rhinoplasty results and should clear up soon.
