Dr. Robert Whitfield is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in Breast Implant Illness and explant surgery. He is known as the “Breast Implant Illness Expert,”due to his exceptional explant skills and his holistic and scientific approach to care at his BII Healing Center in Austin, Tx. He has completed over 5000 breast procedures since 2004 including over 1,500 breast implant removals. He is sought out by women from around the world, looking to remove their implants, address root cause inflammatory symptoms and restore a more natural-looking appearance to their breasts via fat transfer. Born and bred in Las Vegas, he received his medical degree from the University of Las Vegas School of Medicine followed by six years of surgical training, as well as his plastic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He returned to Nevada for a microsurgery fellowship before settling down to practice and teach at the Medical College of Wisconsin for seven years. In 2012, Dr. Whitfield came to Austin where he has become renowned for his breast surgery expertise and functional medicine based approach to healing, intentional aging and longevity.
