Will Results Be Satisfying if I Keep the Gland Tissue and Only Remove Fat?

I have Grade 2 Gynecomastia. My situation warrants the removal of glandular tissue through a small incision in addition to some fat via lipo. However, I fear that gland removal will not be aesthetically attractive since it will result in a flat chest. Therefore I'm contemplating performing either a Vaser procedure or the Radio frequency Assisted Lipo and not removing the gland. Is this a common approach? How much reduction can I expect? Will the results be satisfying? Is RFAL superior to vaser?

A: Gynecomastia question

True gynecomastia requires glandular removal. Fat around the gland can be feathered for a final result. Ive performed several hundred male chest and schools axilla combos and the chest needs to be sculpted, not just "operated on"..have a great day! Dr Jeneby

Gynecomastia Surgery

I am intending to go for a Gynecomastia Surgery next month. the doctor informed me that i don't have so much glandular tissues and she will treat me with vaser liposuction method. I am just scared of re occurrence and going for surgery again if it didn't work out in first place. I also have a heart murmur is it fine and safe if I go for this procedure.

A: Fat vs Breast Tissue Removal in Gynecomastia surgery

Liposuction alone reduces chest wall fat in gynecomastia surgery but it does not correct the problem with breast fullness due excess breast tissue.  By removing breast tissue through a small incision under the nipple, the final result would allow for a more masculine flattening of the breast tissue.  Performing both fat removal with liposuction and breast tissue removal with direct excision, you would then have an overall improved contour and less of a chance of secondary surgery.

Post Gynecomastia Surgery: Can an Asymmetrical Chest Improve by Itself?

I'm 26 years old I had gynecomastia from long time and it's bilatral I did gynecomastia surgery from 5 week ago but after the surgery my chest is asymmetrical(one breast bigger than the other).

A: Asymmetry after Correction of Gynecomastia

Be patient!  Wait at least 12 weeks to figure out whether you are really different and then take a critical look at the results.  Repeat correction can be required for noticeable asymmetry.
