Is 550 CC's Enough for a Butt Augmentation?

I'm 5'2 118 pounds and i'm having a fat transfer done in a month. My doctor said he's guessing about a pound of fat will be injected TOTAL. So that is about 550 cc's? Is this even enough to make a difference? He says it will but I seen most ppl talk about getting that much injected in each side! Should I gain wait so there will be more fat to inject? I really want to notice a difference and have more volume.

A: Amount of fat for Brazilian butt lift

The amount of fat needed for a Brazilian butt augmentation depends on how much projection you want to have. In other words, the bigger the butt or the more fat is needed to get the best shape, the more fat you will need. Typically, during this procedure about 5-7 liters of fluid are removed.  From this amount, about 30% - 40% is usable and viable fat.
You need to discuss with your surgeon the desired shape that you want. Many times due to ethnic differences the thights are also augmented to get a better waist to hip ratio and this requires additional fat.

9 Hour Flight 12 Days After Butt Aug with Fat, Lipo and Breast Lift

would extended sitting 12 days after butt fat graph affect my results negatively?

A: Flying after brazilian butt lift procedure

Many of my patients come from other parts of the country for Brazilian butt lift and this is a common question they ask. The post operative instructions are as important as the surgery itself.  Remember that the fat that has been processed and reinjected into the buttock behaves as a graft for the first two weeks. This means that the fat is nourished by its surrounding soft tissue, and it does not have its own blood supply yet. The fat needs to be handled with care and prolonged pressure by sitting after surgery can have a detrimental effect on the fat survival.

If you have to travel for 9 hrs, I recommend that you stay in the area where you had your surgery for at least 7–10 days. On your way back, make sure that you walk for some time  during your flight. In addition, buy a cigar-shaped cushion. You will put it under your thighs to bump you buttock and minimal pressure will be applied to the gluteal area.
