Does Active FX Do Anything to Tighten Jowls or Neck?

I'm not looking for facelift-type results, but I would like to have a little less sagging at the jawline and directly under the chin. I had a mini-lift by a reputable doctor, but the results were mini also. Will Active FX help?

A: TotalFX is helpful for skin tightening

TotalFX (combination of ActiveFX and DeepFX) can result in skin tightening in the face and neck area. My patients have been very pleased with the degree of tightening that they have achieved with their treatments.

However, results do vary depending on many factors including on the experience of physician who is doing the procedure. For best results, I recommend you seek a provider who is well versed in use this laser device. I hope my answer was helpful.

Is Active FX or Deep FX Easier on the Skin Compared to CO2?

I've had CO2 laser in 2001. My results from the first laser were good, other than a line of demarcation around the edge of my face. It was a really terrible experience to go through. Is Deep FX/Active FX easy in comparison?

A: Newer fractionated technologies offer quicker recovery

Compared to the older CO2 resurfacing procedure, ActiveFX and DeepFX offers less risk and quicker recovery.  Most patients are fully recovered in 5-7 days.  There is still downtime but it nothing compared to full CO2 resurfacing.

I hope you find this helpful.

Does Active FX Help Build Collagen over Time?

I'm a 52 year old woman and had a facelift about 5 years ago and was thrilled with the results. I am now looking for "maintance" and would like to know if the Active FX would help with texture, fine lines and minimal sagginess. Thanks!

P.S. I had an ablative laser done 2 years ago and ended up more red and bumpy for longer then most patients...finally healed after 1 month, but overall it didn't seem to do much.

A: Combination of ActiveFX and DeepFX (TotalFX) helps build collagen

Both treatments help induce new collagen formation and growth over time.  The DeepFX portion of the TotalFX treatment is probably the bigger contributor to the new collagen formation where as the ActiveFX treatment contributes more to enhancing and remodeling of the epidermis.

I hope you find this helpful.
