Fillers for Sunken Cheek After Injury?
I sustained a sport injury to my cheek, causing it to be depressed and the skins sags. Can the dent be pulled out like a car, or be filled?
A: Sunken cheeksBefore having 'sunken cheeks" treated with a filler, you should wait at least 6 months after the injury to allow the injury to fully declare itself. After waiting an appropriate amount of time, I would use Sculptra. Sculptra was developed and approved as a treatment for cheek atrophy.
Does Lexapro Interact with Anesthesia for Rhinoplasty?
I am scheduled for a Rhinoplasty appointment. My surgeon said Lexapro does not interact with anesthesia. Is this true? Does he need to make adjustments to the anesthesia because of the Lexapro in my system?
A: LexaproThe cause of your surgeons' concern with the use of Lexapro is probably not related to any interactions with anesthesia but rather with Lexapro's potential to cause bleeding. Bleeding is listed in the PDR as a potential side effect of Lexapro use.
