Is It Safe to Have IPL Hair Removal Treatment for the Bikini Area?

I would like to have IPL treatment done for hair removal in my bikini area? Is it safe? I have seen many reviews on burning due to sensitivity, however, most referred to facial and neck areas. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

A: IPL Hair Removal Treatment for the Bikini Area?

IPL hair removal depends on your skin type and your hair color. It really should not be done on sun tanned skin. While it is not as effective as some lasers there is no reason why it should not be done successfully in well chosen individuals using proper technique.

A: Laser scaring and permanant change in color around my nipples

Regarding:  "Laser on Chest Burned Around Nipples. Permanent Scarring? I am very concerned for future scaring and permanant change in color around my nipples!"

Without an examination, much less a photograph, your question is impossible to answer. Burns can be grossly classified into 3 large groups of which the Second and Third degree are much more challenging to treat. IF you have scarring you probably had a third degree injury. Since a scar is a permanent condition, it is safe to assume your scarring is permanent. The change in coloration reflects the amount of blood flow through the skin and the amount of pigmentary reaction to the injury. The doctor who aimed the laser at your chest SHOULD be the one treating your condition. Otherwise, he has no business using a laser in the first place.

Laser on Bikini if Wanting to Get Pregnant?

Does laser hair removal on bikini line affect pregnancy/fertility and is there any chance of birth defects if lasering over ovaries?

A: Laser Hair Removal of the groins Does NOT Affect Fertility Laser hair removal specifically impress heat to hair follicles in the deep layer of skin. This energy is very specific and does not penetrate through the skin, the fat, the muscles of the tummy wall, the intestines to reach, much less affect in any way the ovaries and fertility in any way.
