Would Butt Implants Give Me a Firmer Harder Butt over Fat Grafting?

I have had three children and worked out hard with a trainer to get my body back in shape but no matter how much I diet or exercise I cant firm up my butt. My main goal is to have a nice round really firm butt. Firmness is key over size so will butt implant achieve this over fat grafting??

A: Butt Firmness

Most Plastic surgeons cringe when they hear the term Firm or Firmness. What the public may view as athletic and youthful we often see as related to hard scarring and very hard to correct. In my opinion, well developed gluteus can be achieved with serious exercising but such fitness is not everlastng. Look up the body building stars of yesteryear including for former governor of California: such assets do not last and if they did they would look quite unusual. Buttock implants provide fullness but with time will sag somewhat and occasionally be associated with scarrng / capsular contracture.  personally , I would say away from buttock implants nd continue exercising as it will improve your appearance and overall health.

Why All This Pain and Drainage After Having Butt Implants?

i had butt implants done 4/21/11 and they're placed on top of the muscle but my dr said that he placed thm under the muscle but i can clearly feel thm under my skin.i'm draining like crazy and i have pain tht shoots up my back.i can never get a straight answer out of my dr,so i'm trying to find out what the problem could be.

A: Possible Complication of Buttock Implants

Clear and open communication between the patient and the surgeon is extremely important. It is a common mistake to go with the surgeon who appears too busy to speak with you. Such interaction will continue after surgery and worse yet, may continue when you suffer a complication. You MUST pick a surgeon you can speak with who understands you.

It sounds like the placement of the implants were not fully discussed and or understood by you. Furthermore, persistent drainage and pain suggest that an infection may have taken place. Your surgeon MUST be made aware of it immediately. If he will not take care care of it you may need to seek care elsewhere.

Best Option for Gluteal Implants - Intramuscular or Submuscular?

What's the best option for a man: intramuscular or submuscular implants? I'd like the final look and feel to the touch to be as natural as possible. Please bear in mind that I've COMPLETELY rulled out fat transfer, as I don't have much and the fat I have is already in my buttocks.

A: Best Option for Gluteal Implants - Intramuscular or Submuscular?

Buttock Implants may either be placed:
-under the skin
- under the fascia (muscle lining)
- in the gluteus maximus muscle
- in the surgeon created between the gluteus maximus and medius muscle.

Opinions of which is the "best" location varies with the surgeon's experience and the softness of the implants used. The vast majority of surgeons would agree that either inside the muscle and under the fascia are the most preferred places to place buttock implants
