Open Rhinoplasty and Chin Augmentation?

I am planning open rhinoplasty this year to straighten the bridge of my nose and also because I cannot breathe properly through one side of the nostril. Looking at my photos, would you consider a chin augmentation would also enhance my profile? I also have assymetrical lips (maybe chin too) with one corner of the lips frowning down compared to one side. Would also consider chin lipo too to give more defined jaw. I am nervous that a chin augmentation would be overly prominent and noticeable?

A: Chin Implant and Rhinoplasty

Yes, a chin implant would improve your overall aesthetic result and would not be over-projecting.  A strong chin for a man is appropriate.  A small amount of liposuction under your chin would be a good addition as well and if done conservatively should not add to your recovery and little to the cost.  Overall you are on the right track!

Rhinoplasty 11 Months Ago. Nose Still Isn't Straight.

I had rhinoplasty 11 months ago and my nose is still not straight, the tip is still big and uneven and it swells up when i wake up, do i need revision done or is there still alot of swelling in the tip to go down?

A: Rhinoplasty results and concerns

At 11 months you should expect some swelling, but it should be mostly resolved.  If it is not straight, you should discuss this with your doctor as it will not likely get better.  You may require a revision, but go see your surgeon and have him/her evaluate your results and make recommendations.  It's always OK to get a second opinion also, preferably from a surgeon who is not in direct competition with your current surgeon!

Cost of Hanging Columella Reduction Under Local Anesthesia?

What is the average cost of a a hanging columella reduction under local anesthesia? i understand that these are just estimates.

A: Cost of revision rhinoplasty

Repair of a hanging columella can be done under local anesthesia but is better tolerated under sedation with local.  Cost will vary significantly around the country, but should be in the $3-5,000 range.  Good luck!
