Tummy tucks (abdominoplasty) are most commonly performed on patients after significant weight loss or childbirth. At my South Carolina practices, I frequently perform this procedure to remove loose skin and tighten the abdominal muscles, creating a flatter, more toned stomach. Tummy tucks can also be combined with liposuction to help remove any lingering pockets of fat that diet and exercise alone cannot eliminate.
