I wanted to wait until I was a week out to write this review and as I thought would be the case Dr. Schlechter and his whole staff continue to provide the best plastic surgery service in Berks County. This was a huge operation, and a rough one physically, after losing 150 pounds I was left with terrible hanging skin, Dr. Schlechter did beautiful work on me. The recovery has been tough on me, and no matter when I call his office someone calls me back and talks me through whatever problem I am having and calms me down, Dr. Schlechter will see me whenever I need him and he does such perfect work there is never a problem with incisions opening or infections or anything like that. I cant say enough good things about him and his whole staff that know you by name and want to make sure you receive the highest standards of care. His post op nurse with me was an angel I was so scared and she was so calming, he has a beautiful OR suite which is so much nicer than a hospital setting. We are lucky to have such a skilled surgeon in Berks County. I never considered anyone else but I know I will be counting on Dr. Schlechter to continue to fix up the mess that resulted from all the hard work I did on the weight loss.

Love Dr. Schlechter and staff, all take the time to see you, keep you informed and make you feel confident to move ahead! This was a hard decision for me to make, and I am so glad it did, it showed me how something can change your life and make you feel so much better about yourself. They healed in time for me to have a lovely wedding.

He offers tons of other services that are very cheap compared to other doctors. Service and product is not cheap. It is just the doctor knows the lower he can make the price the more patients he will have. Take a provider that charges $500 for one area. He might only see 10 patients a day due to the cost. That is $5k. My doctor might see 30 patients and charge the $325. That is $9750. Sure he saw more patients and spent more time but it took him 10 mins to do mine. The point is if doctors would lower their price cuz face it all the face products are cheap when you buy them from the drug companies and in bulk when you are a provider. It is the time the doctor is charging your for. Much like a mechanic. The part to fix your car is $25 but he charges $225 cuz it took him an hour and a half to fix. Doctors are charging you the labor fee and thus the reason things cost more. So I say research and find a good quality doctor who has rock bottom prices and save yourself some cash. Dr. S is great and the Spa at Spring Ridge, fantastic. My old Derm charged $500 for laser for my Rosecea full face. Spa charges $400 full face and has an updated laser. My old Derm, older laser which is more painful and charges $100 more. No thanks.
