I am 5'7", 125 lbs, and a 34B (measured at ps consult). I have had 2 consults, with 2 different suggestions. I am not interested in a lift so I would like to know if it will benefit me to haves implants alone. I do have sagging due to breastfeeding. One surgeon recommended a lift now with implants in 6 months to a year, while another suggested 375-400cc implants only. I am afraid that implants of this size will make me larger than I want to be. I would not like to be bigger than a D.
Combining a small breast lift with implant insertion would provide you with your best outcome. Implants alone, of a size that you find comfortable, are a reasonable second choice. There would be a small amount of sagging that would persist with implants alone, but I'm not sure you would notice it. You can always have a lift in the future if you decide you need one. I would not advise that you start off with a breast lift alone.
im getting breast implants but my PC tells me it would look better with a breast lift around the areola. Im only 20 but my breasts are kind of droopy because of weight loss.. :( will the scars be very noticeable??
You are not providing we plastic surgeons with enough information to reliably advise you of the best course. How much weight did you lose? What does the ptosis (droop) look like from the side view. How firm or elastic is your breast skin? In my case I would require a physical examination before rendering a reliable opinion. In my experience my twenty year olds have only very rarely required a periareolar breast lift when implants were inserted. And those cases had very unique problems which I do not see on your photo. Remember, you could always do the lift as a second stage intervention if implants alone do not do the job properly, as long as you place the implants through a periareolar incision.
I have have saline implants for nearly 1yr. Is it ok to wear underwire bras at this point? Just recently I am finding it painful ...obviously,if it hurts Im going to stop wearing the underwire lol..But I was wondering if I shouldnt be wearing them Ever??Thanks for your help.
Patients are recommended to stay away from underwire bras until they are completely healed, typically 6-8 weeks after surgery. If there is a problem with healing or with scars, an underwire bra may irritate the area. All scars take 6-12 months to heal, so there is a possibility for sensitivity to that area even 3 months later.
