I had Botox injections to my crows feet, bunny lines and "11's" and in the same appointment had Juvederm Ultra to fill in tear troughs. Too much filler was injected and also injected in the wrong plane and I now have bags under both eyes. My doctor wants to use vitrase to dissolve filler, however I've been reading some cases where Botox may interfere with lymphatic drainage due to the lack of muscle contraction, resulting in a worse situation. What is your advice?
The Botox has no effect on being able to dissolve the Juvederm. Vitrase, when injected in small increments, will dissolve the filler without problems. As mentioned earlier, I also do not like Juvederm in this area for a number of reasons, including the fact that it has the ability to swell 6 times more than Restylane.
Hi, I had dysport and Botox injected in Novemeber not alot for I was afraid of bruising I was seeing old friend's. I just need a little touch up I go to NV for 3 1/2 months should I be worried about flying or alitutude changes? How soon aftert injections is it okay to fly? Thanks Happy Holidays
I see no problems with flying after receiving Botox injections, especially 5 days out. There is not apparent problems with high or low altitudes as well.
I am in my early thirties and I do not get regular botox. I don't have any lines around my eyes at all unless I smile. The first time I got botox was 2 years ago and the doctor only gave me 5 units per side and it looked fine. When I went in 2 weeks ago, he gave me 10 units per side. Is that too much for someone my age? It's only been 2 years, and honestly I don't think I have aged that much.
Botox injections into the lateral orbicularis oculi muscle (aka. crow's feet) should really depend on the amount of muscle movement that you would like reduced and the amount of wrinkles in the area. 10 units is usually not too much, in my opinion, if you were trying to achieve things like a lift to the lateral brow, etc. I usually start out with 7.5 units on each side in that area and work up from there.
