It has been two weeks since I had my treatment. I loved every minute of it and found no pain at all. Now I am worried that since I didn't feel much, that maybe it won't work for me. I only felt one jolt around the forehead that sent an electric shock to my scalp. I don't see any difference other than a tighter feeling along the jawline. That was my main concern too, the starting of the... more
I had two Ulthera treatments last year- one on the upper portion of my face and one on the lower portion of my face. There was no noticeable results. My doctor said that a small portion of Ulthera patients dont get results, and I guess I happen to be one of them. If you have a large amount of disposable income, I might say that it is worth trying, but if you don't, it isn't worth the money. I... more
The pain was bearable. I was expecting much worse. The cheeks were less painful than the brows but the brow area was smaller. The process took about 35 minutes. Immediately after, I was up and about. I visited my Doctors bathroom to freshen up. I noticed slight redness on my brows and barely and flushing on my cheeks. Make up covered this up and I had no swelling or tenderness. I had seen stories in local magazines (yes, ads, I know) and local news stories about ulthera, and wanted to shape my jowls and ease my turkey neck. I made the appointment, found about about it and put down a deposit, and then read about some of the negative experiences here. Needless to say I was nervous but I had heard very good things about the doctor. Went through with it yesterday,... more

I've used retin-a since mty mid 20-s and still do to help keep acne under control. However, after going through a divorce and going back to work full time for first itme in 10 years, despite my best efforts, I was aging and an accelerated rate. Early... more
I'm 49 and am very unhappy with the "turkey wattle" starting under my neck but didn't want a mini-facelift. Had the procedure this morning and was VERY nervous because of all the reviews on here about pain. I had one percocet and a shot in the arm, plus took my own Xanax for nerves. The procedure felt like pinpricks and it wasn't pleasant, but not unbearable either. The... more
I had my full face and neck done yesterday, and I have to agree that this was the most painful cosmetic procedure I've had on my face (Sciton laser resurfacing, IPL, fillers, Botox, etc). However, don't be too scared--you can get through it! I found it to be a situation of mind over matter. When it was intense (particularly the brow area), I squeezed the heck out of two stress balls... more
