Will Laser Genesis Negatively Affect Area Where Fat Transfer Was Performed?

I had fat transer under my eyes about 6 months ago. How will the laser genesis affect that area of my face?

A: Laser Genesis after fat transfer

Laser Genesis should not be a problem in an area of fat transfer 6 months after the procedure. Laser Genesis heats the skin, but should not penetrate below the skin to do any harm to the fat.

Complications Arising Smoking 4 Weeks Post Rhinoplasty

Ok I know smoking is bad for your health but I can't quit, so in terms of that if I start smoking again 4 weeks post rhinoplasty is it likely to have a noticable effect on my nose. Or is it safer now because i've waited a month. Notice I said safer and not safe. And what are the possible complications that can occur.

A: Smoking most likely OK 1 month after rhinoplasty

I would first check with your surgeon to see if there are any extenuating circumstances that might require longer smoking cessation. In the absence of that, I generally allow my rhinoplasty patients to begin smoking 2 weeks after surgery. If you've made it 4 weeks, this is the perfect time to quit altogether!

Botox Only Lasted 6 Weeks

I got Botox injection 6wks ago-25units then a week later got 15 more in glabellar only. Botox seems to have 'worn off' & Dr suggests getting more. I've had it in the past, lasting 4 months & longer. All I've read says not to get it for 3mos. Was the Botox done improperly? diluted?

A: Botox should last much longer than 6 weeks

If you recieved a total of 40 units of Botox in the glabella over the course of just 1 week, then yes, I would expect it to last longer than 6 weeks. One question I would ask is whom injected the Botox, i.e. what type of physician. Facial plastic surgeons, plastic surgeons, dermatologists and occulo-plastic surgeons make up the 'core' group of physicians whom are most qualified to perform these procedures on the face.

The dilution question has little relevance if you were told you received 40 units. Botox comes in a vial that has to be reconstitued with saline, and we don't all reconstitute with the same volume of saline, so saying Botox was diluted or too diluted is irrelevant.
