I am a 6'1" and weigh 155lbs, I have had 3 kids and am very athletic, my doctor recommends that I go with a 475cc implant, I know I have a big frame but will these be too big and weigh to much? I am a triathlete and love to run. I don't want to have back problems because of the implants.
The reason someone has a breast augmentation is for the "look" The size and style of the implant to create that look is then evaluated and the downsides are discussed. Generally, the larger the implant the more "issues"; activity interference, drooping, thinning of the breast tissue, etc. You really cannot evaluate these based on the size of the implant and patient alone. The ultimate decision is arrived at by discussion between the patient and the plastic surgeon.
Hello! I'm getting surgery in a month and I'm not sure about the size yet. My main objective is to obtain the most natural look. I am 170cm, my bra size is 80A or 32A, chest contour 76cm and breast contour 82cm. I'm planning to get 140cc or 175cc under the muscle, anatomicals but now I'm worried that they might look to separate o like two tennis balls in my chest. What do you think? I just want to get a size bigger and don't want to get big breasts, just my size but fuller!
Yes, smaller implants usually look more natural than larger implants. In your particular case however, you may want to consider a lower profile and wider implant. This will fill out the breast without giving too much projection. In thin patients the problem is usually that the implant looks like an implant because there is not much fat or breast tissue to disguise the implant. Generally speaking the more the implant contributes to the final result vs the breast itself the more the result looks like the implant.
Does skin elasticity, level of physical fitness, age, weight and other factors need to be considered when choosing a breast implant that my body would have the best long-term results from?
Determination of the correct implant for breast augmentation is very individualized and best determined at the consultation visit. It takes into consideration the things that you mentioned and more. There are always trade offs in the decision making and these are also very individualized. In addition some plastic surgeons use more engineering and some use more artistry in making the recommendations they make. Non of us are going to do things exactly the same.
