I read that it probably isn't good to do ultherapy after Sculptra or over Sculptra. My plastic surgeon thinks otherwise. What is the consensus?
Our patients are very satisfied with their lifting and tightening results with Ultherapy. And yes, we do injectibles, including Sculptra before Ultherapy with great results, not after.
I really liked the results I had attained from the swelling of my first session of Sculptra. But now, after three vials, I am still left waiting to see those same results. I read that it takes approximately five vials of Sculptra to achieve the same effect as obtained from the initial swelling form the Sculptra and Lidocaine. Yet, a physician told me that each particular session of Sculptra should produce the results obtained from the swelling of that particular session. Which is the case? Will I need more sessions or should I wait it out?
I don't think there is a magic number such as 5 vials. This is because everyone reacts and metabolizes the material differently and swells differently. I would recommend waiting and observing for now.
My doctor said I would benefit from using Sculptra for the little criss cross wrinkles and bagging under my eyes. I haven't read much on Sculptra being used in this area. She tried Botox, but it doesn't really do too much in that area. I just turned 44 years old and am fair-skinned. I am also concerned about excessive bruising in that area. Any advise for using Sculptra on this area for eye bags and wrinkles? Thanks!
It sounds like you have fine lines of the lower eyelids as well as lower eyelid bags. Sculptra (and Botox) are not indicated for this type of problem. Sculptra injection, when injected superficially, can leave lumps and uneven contour. Sculptra should be injected deeply to prevent this type of problem and be injected by a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist.
