Is It Ok for Post Op Review to Be Done by Another Surgeon?

I live out of province from where i'm traveling to have my rhinoplasty done (24 hour drive). Is it a big deal to have the surgery, drive home, and have another surgeon in my home town do my post op (take off cast, make sure everything's ok)? Gets very expensive otherwise.

A: Is It Ok for Post Op Review to Be Done by Another Surgeon?

Unless your hometown surgeon is a good friend of the rhinoplasty surgeon, I seriously doubt he would give you post op care. That care is included in the price of the surgery and should be given by the operating surgeon.

Normal To Share Rhinoplasty Surgical Plan Details With Surgeon Post-Consultation?

Following a detailed consultation and evaluation for rhinoplasty is it ok to ask the doctor to share with you the surgical plan in detail, with the actual amount of change proposed for each nasal area? For example the following - Reduce projection of tip in profile view by 5mm. Nasolabial angle to stay the same. Reduce tip width in frontal view by 2mm. Reduce width of bridge in frontal view by 2mm. Maintain radix height at same level. Reduce length of nostril opening in profile view by 2mm.

A: Rhinoplasty Surgical Plan

Kenny, none of what you want can be predicted to your specifications. Were you to come to my office I would definitely tell you that and also would not do the surgery as your expectations for the procedure are just not realistic.  That guarantees an unhappy patient no matter how skillful the surgery.

What is the Surgeon's Average Fee for Rhinoplasty Excluding Facility and Anesthesia?

What is the surgeon's fee for rhinoplasty excluding facility and anesthesia costs? My surgeon is offering a really low price for the surgeon's fee and has about 10 years of experience. I am just trying to figure out what is the reasonable price range? Thank you so much.

A: Surgeon's Rhinboplasty Fee

Fees vary so much around the country, the only way you will get an answer to this question is to ask local surgeons. Call a few offices and you'll have an answer.
