Best Non Invasive Liposuction for a Morbidly Obese Male?

Hi, I am 285lbs, 5' 10", male, 25 years old. I've exercised and tried diets, nothing seems to work. I was looking at various non invasive liposuction options, as I have to work round the clock on weekdays, and resting at home is not an option, and prefer non surgical or non invasive methods. What is the best and proven non invasive liposuction option available for me ? I have fat male breasts and 52" waistline, pot belly. Losing even 5" would be great. Advance thanks and regards,

A: Non-Invasive Liposuction for a Morbidly Obese Patient

Most well trained surgeons would never perform liposuction of any kind on a morbidly obese patient as it would be of no benefit to them. The most fat that can be taken away SAFELY would amount to no more than 5-10 pounds.

There is no such thing as non-invasive liposuction because by its very nature of getting suction under the skin to remove fat it is invasive.

There are nonsurgical treatments to reduce fat, but again you would find them a total waste of your money as the amount of change wouod not even be visible in a morbidly obese or any obese patient.

If you have been unsuccessful in weight loss, use your funds for bariatric surgery. The time off work will be well worth the many years of extra lifesapan and good health.

Is Needing Touch-up of Liposuction a Likely Thing?

I am scheduled for flank & thigh lipo in a few weeks. I was reading another Q&A on here and an answer from a doctor read, "it's not very often a patient needs a touch-up surgery for lipo unless under gen. anesthesia, then they usually need at least 1 or more touch-ups". I was never informed of this. I know there is always a chance for problems etc, but the use of the word "usually" sounds like I should fully expect another surgery and will spend more money... thoughts??

A: Lipo Touch Up

When liposuction first entered the cosmetic surgery scene the touch up rate was about 25%. As the years have passed and we have better equipment and better techniques, in my practice, and I suspect most other well trained surgeons, the rate is definitely less than 5%. The type of anesthesia has nothing to do with that rate. We do almost all major liposuction under general anesthesia and the touch ups are usually easy to do under local at no additional charge.

Is Liposuction Right for Me To Contour My Abdomen? (photo)

I am 19 and weight about 200 lbs. I have a thyroid problem and I have gone to numerous doctors and nutritionists and I work out everyday. I do not hate my body nor do I want liposuction to be used as a weight loss aid. I really want to know if it could help contour my body, namely my arms and my abdomen. I don't mind the size of my abdomen just the look it has. I just want to know if liposuction would help that.

A: Liposuction To Contour A Large Tummy?

Thanks for the question and for including photos. Obviously you are going to get different answers from the consultants and that always confuses patients. Although I would encourage you to lose weight before any surgery, it may be that you have tried and just weren't successful. If you are willing to have the possibility of some skin surface distortion, the liposuction is definitely an easier and less expensive operation to go through. It will give you some improvement in clothes. The latest medical journal articles I have see with a good reproducible scientific approach to the study indicates very litle difference in skin tightening with laser assisted or standard liposuction. They will both make you look better in clothes. However, if you want the best chance at the best look out of clothes, I think there is no shortcut to a well done abdominoplasty. Because of your age and the likelihood of future pregnancies, I think the liposuction might be the place to start.
