i got botox on my forehead (third time) but on the last occasion i seem to have developed a bump. It has been nearly 5 months since the treatment and the bump is still there. Should i be worried?
I true bump after Botox is unexpected. I have had several patient report a contour irregularity after Botox. It was located in the midline and we figured out that it was a part of the frontalis muscle that had not been treated adequately and was pulling more than normal. What I noticed is that there was new ridge about halfway down in the middle and a little depression above it. When she lifted her eyebrows it got worse. Treated by adding Botox in the midline. Hope this helps.
i will be having botox next month for hemifacial spasm will i have to pay for it?
I have treated several patients for hemi-facial spasm. We have not had good success getting the Botox covered by their insurance companies. However, the doses typically need are small 4-12 units in my experience so at least the cost is low. Hope this helps.
I have only seen this rare side effect once. It happened on a very elderly woman with very thing skin and muscles. It resolved in about 2 months. Some patients may notice some brow drop with Botox but this is a normal result of the treatment weakening the forehead muscles. It sounds like you are already using drops to give you temporary relief. Good luck and it will get better.
