I've been stretching/gauging my ears for quite some time. A few years back my left ear split completely. I had surgery to fix it, I waited the full year to get it peirced and then another full year before I started stretching it again. But now that it's getting up to size with my other ear its seeming a little thin. I'm wondering if a restylane injection would possibly increase the skin in my earlobe? If not is there any sort of injection or procedure that I may benefit from? Thanks in advance
Yes, fillers such as restylane and juvederm are excellent choices for augmenting earlobes. They typically last 9 - 15 months and are easy to use. While this will not actually increase the amount of skin, it will expand it and therefore give you a nice result.
The other option to look at is the size of the other earlobe - that is, it may in fact need to reduced.
The Restylane in my tear troughs looked just perfect until, about a year later, I had fat injected into the inner corners of my eyes to cover dark areas. My eyes swelled up considerably. Now, the areas where Restylane was injected still is very lumpy and the Resylane is considerably displaced. Vitrase was injected five times with no improvement. What can be done to improve this disfiguring problem?
It sounds to me like the problem is more related to the Fat transfer than the restylane. The filler looked good for a year and then you had a fat injection? If this is the case, I would be more apt to evaluate the fat.
However, I have personally had once case where the restylane was injected in this region where it did appear irregular that did require hyaluronidase injections. This is the value of these types of fillers (restlane and juvederm), : they can be reversed.
With fat transfer this is not the case.
