Hello Dr's. My current PS refuses to do HP implants because she says they look fake and torpedo like. I'm very slender and tall. My stats are: 5'7.5 118lbs BWD:11.5cm ribcage:28in I did state that I wanted more projection and tried on mod+350 and 375. The nurse let me try on HP 375 before I saw the Dr. and I really liked the look of those. My question to you would be, am a good candidate for HP implants? I don't want to be denied the opportunity if I am, and my Dr. doesn't do them anymore.
Generally speaking high profile implants can work very well, especially if silicone gel. The decision regarding implant projection should be based on the desired look you would like and your anatomy. This requires a complete examination to determine measurements and tissue quality. If yo are not comfortable with your plastic surgeon, then by all means get a second opinion.
I am 160 lbs 5'3 34A cup, I went in and looked at 650cc. I liked how it gave my small waist and wide hips a hour glass look. The doc side i had enough room to carry a large implant,but I am worried it will harm or misshape my breast.. I am going under the muscle
I would consider an implant over 600cc as very large. In most patients this can carry an increased long term risk. Without photos and and examination it is difficult to say if that is too large for you. However, based on your height and weight, I would think that 650cc implant might work. A thoughful and skilled surgeon should never put an implant that is too large, simply to satisfy the patients size.
Do smaller breast implants necessarily mean less risks? Like less chance of rippling, leaking, longer lasting, less sagging, etc? I want natural results to simply look more proportionate in my clothes. I currently have A cups and would like full B cups with saline - I think about 210cc. I have a feeling I may want to go larger for full B cups, but I feel the larger the implants, the more risks are involved.
In general the include size does not carry any greater surgical risk. However, large implants do have a greater risk of issues long term. In addition, if the tissues are poor quality, the risk is greater. The primary concern is thinning of the skin, bottoming out, traction rippling and others. It is important that the implant match your anatomy.
