Is VASER liposuction like regular liposuction or laser liposuction? How is it different or what makes it unique from other types of lipo?
Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound energy to break up the fat prior to suctioning. The ultrasound energy can also help the skin to shrink up after the procedure.
I am very athletic (5"9"- 128lb), love to run and lift weights, and would like to get a breast lift with implants to a size C cup (I am currently 34B). I would like to keep an athletic, natural look- would that be a Moderate Profile @ about 300ccs or do you have any other recommendations? Also, I read about Smartlipo/Vaser Hi Def breast lift and wondered if I would be a candidate? Or is a doughnut mastopexy my only option? Lastly, is there a way to fix the asymmetry of my breasts? Thank you!!
Schedule a consultation with a board certified PLASTIC surgeon. Upon consultation and examination, your surgeon will be able to explain the benefits and risks of each procedure and make a recommendation on which procedure would best address your individual concerns. There are far too many physicians who are not properly trained in plastic surgery. Contact your OBGYN or PCP for a reputable board certified plastic surgeon in your area. Best of luck!
I had vaser liposuction nine days ago on my abdomen to remove a small, stubborn pot belly. Around days four to seven, I could see great results - my stomach was completely flat and I was delighted, although it was hard. However, as of yesterday the pot belly has gradually returned, and I look almost the exact same as before! The skin is soft again. I'm distraught - someone please tell me why this happened and if it will go away...?
I advise my patients to wear their surgical garment 24 hours a day for 4 weeks and at night for the 5th week. Swelling is still present. Give yourself 4-6 months before assessing any results. Best of luck!
