I had inner thigh lipo and it left sagging skin. I wrote to real self where I received a lot of helpful info. Although my excess skin is minimal I dont understand how the doctor can give me a spot lipo an inject it into a hollow spot in my butt where he did the fat transfer and do a thigh lift all in one and a half hours. Please tell me the normal amount of time to do a minor skin lift in the inner thigh.
Thank you for your question. Most thigh lift surgeries are performed on patients who have lost a considerable amount of weight. Smaller lifts can be performed on patients such as yourself who have smaller amounts of excess skin located in the upper, inner thighs. In this situation, the scars can be hidden in the groin crease but requires deep anchoring sutures to prevent the scars from spreading and separation of the labia. This would be very difficult to do in an office setting and certainly would take at least 2 hours.
28 yr old female, with 3 children. I feel like I have a lot of excess skin in fat in my abdominal region. I am interested in a tummy tuck and inner thigh lift, as well as a breast lift. Is it possible to combine all 3 in my situation?
Sabrina;
Thank you for your question. While it is possible to have all three procedures at once. Most surgeons would probably prefer to break them up into two separate surgeries. I would recommend the tummy tuck and breast lift in one procedure and do the thigh lift at a later time. Best wishes.
I lost a lot of weight about a year ago, and I am still at my ideal weight but my skin hasn't "bounced back" since I lost the weight. The worst area is in my thigh and buttock region. Will a thigh lift work to get rid of saggy skin leftover from when I was bigger?
Thank you for your question. While a thighplasty will not help the sagging in the buttock area, it is an ideal procedure to improve the contour and shape of the thighs after significant weight loss. In a thigh lift, excess skin and fat is removed from the upper, inner thighs. To help with excess skin on the sides, abdomen and buttocks, a lower body lift (circumferential abdominoplasty) is recommended. Best of luck.
