Post-Pregnancy Procedures
After women give birth, they often experience dramatic changes to their body, particularly the breasts and abdomen. Mommy makeover procedures combine complementary surgeries in a single operation, to help moms regain their pre-baby bodies. During a consultation at my Columbus practice, we’ll discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals, and I’ll recommend the treatment plan that will best achieve them. Your customized procedure may include a tummy tuck, to remove excess skin and tighten the abdominal muscles; a breast lift and/or breast augmentation to restore lost volume and bring your breasts back to a more youthful position; and liposuction, to remove stubborn fat in the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and hips. Some women also opt for labiaplasty or a facial rejuvenation procedure. Whatever combination they choose, my patients can expect natural-looking results that leave them feeling more beautiful and confident.
Breast Surgery
Breast augmentation is the most-requested procedure among my patients. Those seeking to enhance the size and shape of their breasts—whether to increase the size of their natural breasts or restore lost volume—usually opt for an augmentation with saline or silicone breast implants. I’m also known for my expertise with breast lifts, with or without implants, to restore a perky, more youthful shape and position to breasts affected by aging, pregnancy, or weight fluctuations. Others seek me out for the innovative Laser Bra nonsurgical breast lift. If you’re experiencing discomfort from large breasts or just want a streamlined silhouette, I also offer breast reduction, including gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction). I also offer breast reconstruction to restore the appearance, shape, or symmetry of the breasts following a mastectomy, or to prevent breast cancer. Abdominoplasty
An abdominoplasty, commonly called a tummy tuck, creates a toned and contoured abdomen. A great option for patients with loose skin or a protruding belly, particularly following pregnancy or significant weight loss, a tummy tuck can resolve concerns that resist diet and exercise alone. For many, it’s the last stage of their weight loss journey. At my Columbus practice, patients have two options: a full tummy tuck or a mini tummy tuck that’s less extensive and results in less downtime. A traditional tummy tuck tightens separated abdominal muscles while removing excess skin and fat both above and below the belly button, while a mini tummy tuck focuses on the lower abdomen. During your consultation, we will discuss your unique situation, to determine which option will give you the result that aligns with your goals.

After graduating from the Medical College of Ohio with honors and earning membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Dr. Heck remained there for his general surgery residency before completing a two-year plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During his time in medical school, Dr. Heck was awarded the Marion C. Anderson and Toledo Surgery Society Awards for his academic achievement in surgery.
Dr. Heck went on to complete an aesthetic and breast fellowship at the University of Southern California, training under the highly respected surgeon, Dr. Grant Stevens, MD, FACS. During the fellowship, Dr. Heck refined his aesthetic surgical skills and learned innovative techniques for which he is known today, like the Laser Bra method.
