Can Juvederm be used to add volume to the sides of the face that have flattened out due to aging?
Absolutley. Juvederm is wonderful at adding volume to cheeks. In my opinion, it is the absolute best way to acheive great results in cheek enhancement.
What are the main difference between Juvederm and Botox for treatment of wrinkles between the brows? Are they used together? What is the benefit of combining them? How much is used of each?
My preference is to start with Botox to paralyze the brow depressor muscles first. If there are still depressions between the brows after the Botox has taken effect, Juvederm is used to fill in the remaining depressions. While the Botox will last for 3-4 months, the Juvederm will stay for 9-12 months. Generally about 20 units of Botox are used for the brows and one syringe of Juvederm is plenty for the brow area.
I want the filler I choose to make my cheeks look muscular and chiseled (as opposed to soft and feminine which I understand fillers can often make them look). Would Juvederm be the best filler to achieve this on male cheeks, or another filler? Which section of the cheeks should I look to have the filler injected - the sides or front of the cheeks? And does Juvederm gnerally give natural-looking results in the cheeks? Thank you in advance for your help.
I like to use Radiesse for cheek bone, or malar augmentation because it tends to last longer then the Hyaluronic Acid fillers. You could also consider malar or submalar implants for a permanent result.
