Where Are Incisions Made for Butt Lift?

I want a butt lift and I have a nice sexy flat tummy. Will they still cut me in front? I only want to raise my butt and get rid of celulite..I dont want a scar on something nice.

A: Butt Lift Scar

A standard Butt Lift involves a bikini line scar that extends across the lower back/upper butt from the left to the right hip. Exactly how far the scar would extend would depend upon the individual patient and the degree of lifting required to achieve the desired result. Most patients who need a butt lift also need some tightening in the lateral thigh and will need an incision to accomplish that.

A Brazilian Butt Lift does not involve significant scarring and requires the transfer of autologous fat into the butt to firm and shape, but no actual lifting occurs. Your surgeon can describe which of these approaches would benefit you depending upon your anatomy and your goals.

A: Butt Lift and Breast Reduction on the same day

Assuming you are in good health, a breast reduction and a butt lift can safely be done on the same day. In my own practice, a breast reduction takes less than two hours, a butt lift (brazilian or regular) likewise takes less than two hours. Neither procedure is associated with significant blood loss. That being said, you should take the recovery into account. You will be sore on top and the bottom, and finding a comfortable position in which to rest will be a challenge.

Exercise After Butt Lift

I work out at the gym almost daily for about 2 hours. I do a lot of different exercises and use the gym equipment. Some of the machines really work your butt out.

Would I be able to continue working out as hard as I do after the butt lift has healed? Or would this cause any problems with the butt lift? Would it make my butt have contour abnormalities eventually?

A: Exercise Your Butt Lift!

Once healed an exercise program is the best thing you can do to enhance and maintain the results of your butt lift. I suggest that patients wait about 6 weeks after surgery before pursuing vigorous exercise. Start slowly and work your way into it.
