I am 6 weeks out of Preventative Bilateral Mastectomy, BRCA1 positive, pathology is clear. Skin Sparing, not Nipple sparing. My PS was able to make dermal slings out of my own tissue as I was a DD with significant ptosis. In the TE's, I am now a D cup, which I want to be. Will 800cc Allergan 45's make me look smaller than I do now? 145 pounds, 5 feet 4 inches, ribcage is 33 inches.
This will be a heavy implant, but if you like the size of the 750 expander then you will need a 750 to 800 cc implant to match. The silicone gel implants will feel much softer than your expanders and are usually much more comfortable.
Good Luck

I had reconstructive surgery 5 years after my mastectomy but I only got an implant. I would like to have it redone so that both breasts will look the same or atleast close. I would like a nipple as well. is it possible to have re-reconstructive breast surgery if you are not happy w/the look?
It would be good to check with your insurance carrier prior to the surgery to check on benefits, but if your breast don't match most carriers will pay for follow up surgery to make you breasts match even if that means doing something to the opposite side.
Check with your plastic surgeon and they can write the appropriate letter to your insurance company.

I'm 35 years old and in two weeks, I'll have Mastectomy of left breast and immediate Breast Reconstruction with implant-expander. The PS told me that my right breast (the good one) needs just 2 cm lift which he will do with crescent lift. The second option is to put a small implant and increase size a little bit.
What do you think? Which procedure would have the best result (more symmetric breasts) in my body (my chest is skinny as you can see in the pic) for now and in the future? Thank you in advance.
I think that Dr Salemy's answer is very well thought out and expressed well. I don't think I would do anything differently and I do about 5 or 6 breast reconstructions a week.
Good Luck,
Dr T
