Sharing My Rhinoplasty Recovery Experience

Show More Dr. Adam Stein has a lot of 5 star ratings and good reviews. I am 23 years old Rhinoplasty patient during their second week post-op and already please with my results, even with the swelling I still have. This doctor not only has good ratings, but I went with him because he does so many Rhino. surgeries a year, which made me feel safe and secure that I am dealing with a professional who knows how to do things right THE FIRST TIME. His nurses and front desk employees are so nice, attentive, and always in a good mood every time I saw them which made me feel special and not just another customer. Going through surgery can be scary, and I am the nervous type, and they were good to answer any concerns or questions I had, but mainly made me feel comfortable and explained exactly what would be done to my nose. When I got my cast taken off, the doctor and staff were a bit aloof, but that was more from their own confidence and self assurance in their ability and the job they did, rather than being indifferent. I can't WAIT to see my full results over the months! Thank You!

Changed my Life - Raleigh-Durham, NC

Show More I initially found Dr. Stein through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery database. From there I went on to view his website, arrange for a consult visit, etc. I liked the fact that Dr Stein limits his plastic surgery work to the face. I am pleased with the results and the ultra-professional and courteous treatment by all the staff at Stein Plastic Surgery. Thank you all, youre wonderful

Excellent Five Star Surgeon - Raleigh, NC

Show More He is a five star surgeon. The recovery for my multiple procedures (performed simultaneously) was both psychological and physical therefore I suggest that the potential patient use the references provided by Dr. Stein's office and perform diligent research. He did an excellent job. I am post-op three weeks now and I am quite pleased.

My Experience So Far - Raleigh, NC

Show More I'm not the patient who considered undergoing a rhinoplasty for any other reason besides aesthetics - I could breathe perfectly fine from my nose, have never had any childhood injuries that I felt the need to correct.. I just didn't love my nose, plain and simple. I felt that the moderate hump on my nose made my face appear more severe and masculine than I'd like, and I also felt that my nostrils flared out too much for my liking as well. I can't remember the exact moment that I became acutely aware of my dissatisfaction with the shape of my nose, but it must have been around middle school (surprise!). I wasn’t so desperate for surgery that I would have gone with anyone with a decent portfolio and low price tag – it was imperative that I find the perfect surgeon. If it meant I had to save money for a longer period of time to get the right surgeon, I would have. What I absolutely did not want was a nose that looked like it was obviously operated on. You’ve seen them: plastic looking, collapsed nostrils, too small for their face, etc. A nose that doesn’t look like it belongs there. Anyway, one evening I decided to just explore my options - see what was available in the area, and that's when I found Dr. Stein's website. I literally visited his photo gallery at least about 20 times, analyzing each picture, before biting the bullet and scheduling the consultation. Though I was immediately impressed by the before and afters, I actually had a hard time believing that someone could be that good! Every person on the website looked like a better version of themselves. I called the office and scheduled my first consultation with Dr. Stein around January. My immediate impression of the office is that Dr. Stein seems to run a tight ship - every time I've called, someone answered within the first ring or two with a very pleasant and professional demeanor. The office/clinic space itself is very clean and modern, and the front desk staff seem to really value customer service. All good signs for a first impression. I went in with about 3 pages of questions, and Dr. Stein answered all of them (and then some) thoroughly before I got a chance to ask any, which was great. I was really pleased with the fact that he focuses on facial plastic surgery, and rhinoplasties in particular. He's done thousands of noses, and that was hugely reassuring. He generated a computer simulated after picture for me, and it looked very feminine and natural to me. Dr. Stein also gave off a very confident, professional, and respectful vibe, and told me what he thought about my nose without being dismissive of my concerns. I didn’t feel like he sugarcoated anything, and like other reviewers, didn’t feel like he tried to sell me more than I needed. I was pretty much sold even before meeting with the very helpful financial administrator, but I left on the fence about whether or not to get my nostrils resized. That's where consult number two came in. The first consultation was complimentary, and I was expecting to be charged for coming in for round 2 since I’d be taking up more of Dr. Stein’s time. Again, I just wanted to make a definite decision about the nostrils. I was not charged, and Dr. Stein helped me come to a decision pretty quickly – he recommended the sill excision and I trusted his expertise. I scheduled my appointment for the surgery, as well as the pre-op appointment. I'm 4 days post-op, so I can't see what the outcome has been. and therefore can't speak on that yet. I will be sure to update soon.
