Loose Skin After Double Chin Liposuction- Will It Fix Itself Or Do I Need Treatment?

hi, i had a pretty mild case of double chin and underwent double chin liposuction 1 month ago. however, i did not use the compression cloths like the doctor instructed, and now i have slightly loose skin. will it remedy itself in time, or should i seek treatments?

A: Double chin

It would really help to have pre-op photos to see how much laxity  you had prior to surgery and thus be able to assess your post-op results

Concerns with Chin Liposuction

I am 29, athletic, but have always had untoned skin and fat under my chin and around my jawline and am considering smart lipo. I am very concerned about bad skin tone and ropy/uneven appearance since its my face!

What type/grade of machine should I be looking for in a doctor's office to ensure best results? Also any suggestions on areas of the jaw/chin/jowls I should include? I don't want to overdo it, but mostly feel I don't have the info I need to self-advocate during consultation. Thx!

A: Lipo works great

Patients who have undergone chin lipo love the results and it's been life-changing for them-

please make sure you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who has demonstrated great results in this procedure.  Whether smart lipo or any other type of lipo-remember it's the operator behind the cannula that is responsible for your results not the type of machinery used

Lipo of Neck, Unsure of Results - 1 Week

I'm 35. Had lipo neck and chin a week ago. I thought the doc would say he didn't take enough fat, but he and the nurses were delighted at my results and said in 3 months I will look like a different person with a firm neckline without the double chin. While I was glad to hear, inside I feel down cause I still look the same. Still have double chin and fat neck. He removed over 200 cc's. Wanting other's opinion since we are our own worst critics, will it firm by 3 months or do I need more taken?

A: Too soon to tell

At this point it is too soon to tell-you are still swollen and it will take several weeks for that to subside-just stay patient and follow-up with your doctor at your post-op appt.
