Weight Loss - Prior to Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift I am presently at 160 lb goal weight is 135-145 roughly If I would to have procedure in FEB 2012 do you feel it is to much to lose in to short of time I was 200 lb and started weight loss in 2010 roughly Spring I did just more good days than bad and took off .25 to .50 a week sometime 0 and sometimes a 1 lb maybe 2. No real exercise just some walking here and there. I did a Very Very slow change of life in eating Thanks
You have 15-25 lbs. left to lose to reach your goal. At your stated rate of loss, this should take you 7 months to a year. One to 1 ½ lbs. a week is a realistic and safe amount to lose. If you could do this, you could reduce that time by 50-66%. That would barely get you to your desired weight by February of next year, however. Even if you did get to your goal by then, you still need to wait at least 2-6 months to allow your body to stabilize so that a surgery of the magnitude you are planning will be safe and you will heal well. Do not try and change your method of weight loss. It is the only one that will achieve your goal and then allow you to maintain the loss indefinitely.
For as long as I can remember my breasts have looked this way (even at a healthy weight prior to gain). I'm 19yrs old & they look as if they have been through a harsh match of tug-of-war. Recently, I lost 27lbs in approx. 7 weeks. I'm currently around 141.2lbs & in the process of reaching my goal weight of 120lbs or a bit less. My breasts went from a C cup to a B. They look the same but I'm sure they do sag more than before. My ideal breasts are an A cup & perky, what can I do to fix my breasts?
From your description, you do not need implants to obtain an "A" cup size. Therefore, all you need is a Mastopexy or breast lift. There are many ways to do this, but they all accomplish the same goal. removing the excess skin and putting the nipple/areola where it belongs, thus making the breast perky.
Thank you very much for your time! I'm 46 w/ living/related, perfect antigen match renal txplt. 23 yrs post op. Perfect function/ health. One preg/birth. I take 7 .5 mg pred qod and 125 mg immuran daily. i'm 5'2", maintain about 125 lbs.
Because of pred, pregnancy and post- preg weight loss, I'd like breast lift, but w/out implant because of immunosuppression. I'd appreciate opinions, as well as your knowledge of other txplt pts having successfully undergone this surgery.
The transplant does not prevent cosmetic surgery, but does complicate it and increase your risks. Talk to your transplant doctor and have him/her talk to your Plastic Surgeon.
