Of the Surgical Browlifts, Coronal and Endoscopic, What Are the Drawbacks of Each?

Are there big difference in the long-term effects of coronal and endoscopic brow lift options?

A: endoscopic versus open brow lift? Help!

in 1993 endoscopic plastic surgery was developed. Most common endoscopic procedure is the endoscopic brow lift or four head lift procedure. This procedure eliminates the need for a scar that exist from year-to-year which was common with the open technique. The open technique also creates a numbness from the incision line to the top of the head. This can be very problematic and troublesome for patients and if it can be avoided it is highly desirable. The endoscopic four head lift achieves a result equivalent to open technique when performed properly. The beauty of the endoscopic approach is that there are no visible scars, no permanent numbness of the four head or scalp, and a result equivalent to an open technique with no evidence of having had surgery. It is for this reason that plastic surgeons with special emphasis on facial aesthetics choose the endoscopic technique over the open technique.
