So I opted for the Invisalign treatment. I am a thirty year old female and I just got my first tray about an hour ago! I have a series of 51 trays to look forward to (so almost 2 years!). My mouth is very small so crowding is an issue.
Not going to lie, they're pretty painful, at the moment but I am hopeful that this will improve soon! Only time will tell... more
Got my first set of trays yesterday. Have 35 total trays and I will be changing every week. I was super excited and ready for my visit, as it had been pushed back by about a month. However, the pain caught me by surprise. The lady at the checkout desk gave me Advil, and I took 2 more about 6 hours later. In addition to the ache in my jawbones, I also had a terrible headache. The course of Invisalign was for the most part a pleasant experience with a wonderful end result, and I would advise it for anyone that is considering it. I wanted to add that I purchased a $1,000 off coupon from living social fro $10 and it brought my cost down to 4660. I also put $1650 down to put a dent in the cost for invisalign. So far it's been worth it but I'll wait until i'm further in the process to put my final say so on this... more
My trays were complete after about 9 months. The effect on the appearance of my teeth was dramatic. I have two major complaints though.
First, many of the trays came with sharp rough edges that would cut or rub my tongue raw. When I complained to the dentist he said I could file them smooth with a chain saw file, which is in fact what I had to do. It just doesn't seem to me that I... more
Hi everyone....well I just got my impressions done on Sept/16/09. I'm so excited I can hardly wait. I think my treatment will be for 12 months, I have a slight overbite and a small gap so I'm so ready for them to come so I can get the treatment started.
